One powerful feature of RoomTrust is the ability to automatically release unsold rooms, or rooms not picked-up, at the Cut off/Release date. These are rooms that have no name in them at the first Cut off/Relase date.
This is a recommended setting for most allocations as it ensures that you will hold no rooms after the Cut off or Release date for which you could be financially responsible.
This is a setting that can be defined either at the point of making a hotel request or when preparing a manual allocation.
This setting can be defined when making a new hotel request by changing the Release of unsold rooms setting to Automatic.
The setting can also be defined when setting up a Manual allocation in the same field.
If a room block or allocation was not initially set up to automatically release rooms the setting can be changed via the View allocation function from both types of allocation.
Change the setting of Release of unsold rooms to Automatic
There is no need to Save the change.
